You are worth every single cent (or Euro, Pound, Yen, Peso, etc.) and as a driven Camgirl you should be SLOWLY increasing your prices. You are "boiling the frog" as they say in the South. What this saying means is, you can't just simply throw a frog into a pot of boiling water. No, not at all.
You have to START with a nice lukewarm water; something inviting for the gentleman to come join you in (maybe, $2.89 per minute your first week). As you start to get a following and some high-quality regulars that absolutely LOVE your cam sessions you should totally increase your prices by at least 12 cents per week. Now, I know this sounds like an arbitrary number but I have tried several different "price strategies" over the last 7+ years of me camming and for some reason, 12 cents is just low enough (but high enough) to net some seriously nice profits. After 25 weeks (approximately 6-months that equals a $3.00 increase-um, yes please!) And since most girls should start at around $2-3 a minute, in 6-months of hustling on Streamate or MyFreeCams you can feasibly be making $5-$6 per minute. Personally, I think every single XXX webcam model should make at leat $6-$10 a minute. Make more money and continue get that consistent paycheck, growing larger as it may be. By smaller, less noticeable bumps in your Camgirl rates you can do this. Easily.
And when you think about it, as gas prices are the HIGHEST IN HISTORY AT THIS TIME OF YEAR in the United States, nobody is really complaining too much in the media about gas prices. Why? As with anything, strike while the iron is hot: emergency Holiday Camgirl profits
It is Christmas (and Hanukkah) time and it's a lovely time of year but there is one minor problem: the gifts.
Yes, the gifts are what the problem is, at least if you're a Camgirl. I mean think about it: there is always a "lull" of guys spending money during the Holidays in the Camgirl industry. Yes, many virtual models don't necessarily do this type of work "full time" but they are definitely going to try to make some extra cash for Christmas gifts. So here you see the problem. Economically speaking, there is a sudden INCREASE in supply (Camgirls getting on hoping to make a C-note in a few hours) while simultaneously there is an instant "wallet-closing" phase (LOWER DEMAND) of the guys that normally visit a Camgirls chat room. That is a problem, to say the least. All...because of gifts. :(
With all this said, there is a way to combat such a situation (actually a few ways). The main thing a Camgirl model needs to do is to "ride the wave of privates" on good nights. Basically, if you can't STAY out of private because you're THAT busy then by all means, try to get as much money as possible, potentially stretching your normal camming shifts an hour or two. With this said, a way to insulate from the post-Thanksgiving purse-synching from the guys is to get your popularity UP and to constantly be networking when you're NOT on cam. It's easier said than done (there is a bit of effort involved of course) but it's also NOT that hard to be courteous to a Tweet from a fan (that could potentially lead to a really good, consistent-spending "regular"). This is a perfect example of how it is relatively easy to turn FREE marketing of Twitter, Facebook, etc. into CASH in your bank account. Being a Camgirl is like running your own small business. And some girls get obsessed with it and totally rape dudes of their paychecks! It's glorious! My point is, all aspiring young businesswomen (Camgirls or otherwise) really have to have their eye on the long-term of their business and how simple cordial exchanges with fans can really get you a lot of extra "privates" (hopefully through your OWN AlertPay and on Skype so you receive MUCH more of the earnings-this is called "Indy" and we'll get into that a bit later) in the long-term scope of things.
One last tip on how to get more guys spending cash on that A$$ during the Holidays: be consistent. I have definitely touched on the need to be consistent as a live nude chat model before, but it bears repeating because it is THAT crucial. When you are consistent you will get MORE guys coming into your room. Now, there's nothing wrong with occasionally doing an afternoon show or something to garner NEW fans, but you're "Happy Hour(s)" should be a consistent thing. Why? Simple. How to control your chat room and make more money camming
A lot of discussion on various forums and Twitter posts tell me that many of the live chat models out there are experiencing RUDE guests that also generally happen to be beggars. After all, one rude guest can influence the rest of the chat room and that's the last thing a Camgirl wants when she's trying to take her clothes off and simultaneously bilk these dudes from their money. How to make money with MyFreeCams Vol. 1
From the beginning of time it seems, I have always been adamant about NOT showing too much in a public chat setting. Sometimes it is called "Free chat" but it all just means that basically, the public that decides to go to a live sex chat site can possible get a free show without ever signing up or anything at all. Yes, you have to use their full-fledged obsession with destruction, control, sexual domination and all-things-testosterone against them in the most subtle manner. Essentially, you are using psychological Judo on these lil' bastards:)
Here's how to do it
1) Make sure you give MFC enough time to get an adequate following of "regulars" that frequent your chat room. Granted, you could make $120 in your first 3-hour shift. Or you could make $40. But generally, most girls that have watched a few shows of the better Camgirls on there do very well when they transition to a live chat site like this. MFC gets TONS of traffic so I would not worry too much about whether or not you have any tippers. It's all up to YOU on how you shake those bills out of their wallets;)

How to turn every guy into a "Regular" client Part II
It's absolutely crazy to think that some Camgirls are struggling during live cam shows when they are absolutely HOT! 6) Consistent, well-written blogs with lots of pictures are` free marketing and a good idea if you want adoring fans that will spend 1/3 of their paycheck for the next 3 years just to be able to talk to you and watch you play with a toy (when most girls already do this). The power of a blog is really what you put into it. Some girls have professional, attractive blogs that bring in a lot of "regulars" that become engrossed with the heights simple marketing can bring a Camgirl. And the coolest thing I have noticed about social media is that it almost creates an addiction by some regulars that just can't get enough. It's not just sex people! It's the whole enchilada. Success is the best revenge
People that make money are BUSY. Period. There is no way around it. Being a Camgirl is no exception.

Rule #1 as a Camgirl
After a long and careful consideration process I decided to dip my toe into the world of XXX camming. It sounds kinda scary, I have to admit...but I'm somewhat of an exhibitionist and being a Camgirl to make extra money had been on my mind since High-School. Now let me explain "anything" a bit further. There's nothing wrong with flashin' a bit of tail or even letting a "nip slip" (a la Janet Jackson) happen but for Pete's sake you can't give them enough of a (free) show that the guys in your virtual chat room won't spend any money on you. Don't be lying around naked (thinking that you'll get their attention) and wonder why you aren't making at least $50/hour as a Camgirl.

Another small section of the potential regulars out there will try to bully you over the internet saying things such as, "I'm a big-spending member here at this craptastically, void of any talent camsite and I could make things 'hard' for you if you won't at least give me your cell..." Yes, also pathetically tragic. Yes, I've had these messages and you have to handle this deucher-McDeuchington by completely ignoring him and banning him if he does not get the "picture" within a week. These guys can't do ANYTHING to you. If a site is unprofessional enough to actually listen to this type of nonsense then take your goods elsewhere if any partisan BS begins to accumulate. When you're making a typical camsite around 60%-65% of the total revenue you earn THEY SHOULD TREAT YOU LIKE ROYALTY. Period. End of story.
So, punch any of these cheapskates in the proverbial ball-sacks with a quick, blunt reply back and possibly save a left-hook for any admins (at the aforementioned craptastic camsite) giving you trouble for not wanting to give out personal info or shows for free. That's just absolutely unacceptable.

Do not feel sorry for these leaches to society. If you let them, they will be a leach on you and your potential earnings. The odds are stacked up against you if you give-in to this type of sub-par behavior.
After all, the exchanges you have while in the "camming world" is NOT real life...this is the virtual world of the internet and live camming is a game where the other players think it's real life. You have to separate your "Camgirl life" from your normal career as a human being or else you will start to feel like the camming is somehow an alternate universe. It's not. It's your easy way to make virtually as much money as you want...just as long as you don't fall for these spinnin' hubcaps-havin' selves that have an aversion for paying jobs. Every girl likes a guy with drive and cash and this is (especially) no exception. Do not get distracted by beggars. Just focus on the clients that are willing to take your hot-ass into private.
